  9. We ensured fire safety in our factory all the time with periodical fire safety assessments including electrical risk assessment. Addressable inter connected smoke detectors, fire alarms, fire hydrant with jockey pump connected with water reservoir, various types of fire extinguishers, fire fighting equipment, sufficient firefighters, rescuers and first aid personnel are always in place.
  10. Supply of pure drinking water for all during working hours.
  11. Separate, safe and well managed chemical storage area. Chemical handlers and users are properly trained on safely chemical handling, using chemicals, disposing of waste chemicals (if any) and uses of PPEs.

The Sedex database is a widely recognized online platform where registered companies openly share information about their social and ethical performance. Micro-Pak® Stickers and Sheets are anti-microbial and protect products from within the packaging, whereas Micro-Pak container desiccants are anti-moisture and protect products from outside the packaging. Every two months, this audit occurs in Akij Footwear Limited.

ELEVATE delivers a broad range of environmental and social supply chain audits that support impact-driven responsible sourcing programs. As per buyer requirements, Akij Footwear Limited have done ELEVATE Audit per internal policy.

A comprehensive audit checklist adopted by LFMEAB Compliance Cell is used throughout the audits based on Bangladesh Labor Law 2006, relevant ILO convention. LFMEAB is a recognized organization for Leather Goods. Each year twice or thrice LFMEAB used to complete their Audit in Akij Footwear Limited.
