Our experience started with our old unit SAVAR INDUSTRY (PVT) LTD. established in the year of 1992 and located at Dhaka EPZ. The new giant shoe project AKIJ FOOTWEAR LTD. was incorporated in 2005 and located very near (20 KM) to the Shahajalal International Airport. The Iron-structured modern project is established in a 300,000 SQF land area with 50,000 SQF actual working space and well-equipped with brand new machineries from Italy and Germany. Our both shoe industries are supported by our own world class tannery namely SAF INDUSTRIES LTD. which is rated one of the best Leather Processing Industry in ASIA for Finished Cow Calf Leather running from1960.

Production in Akij Footwear Ltd. is being led under close supervision of foreign experts with appreciable skilled workers and strict management to produce High Quality Fashionable shoes according to world latest fashion trends.

Late Sk. Momin Uddin

Founder

Late Sk. Momin Uddin was a pioneer in leather related business in Bangladesh. He was highly knowledgeable and skillful Technician in Leather processing. He implemented modern technology in tannery industry named SAF Industries Ltd. is Gold Medalist Factory in a Tannery Sector. He flourished his Leather business to East Asia and Europe with high reputation. Later on he started Footwear Business and again he proved his skill by exporting high quality footwear and shoes in East Asia and Europe.

Sheikh Nafis Uddin Fahim

Managing Director

Mr. Sheikh Nafis Uddin Fahim is the Managing Director of Akij Footwear Limited and Aki Shoes Limited. Also he is Director of Savar Industries (Pvt.) Limited and Golden Akij Shoes Ltd. joint venture with Chinese Golden Union Ltd.

Recently we started Akij Leather Goods Ltd. to meet future consumer requirements. He is presently also director of renown Tannery named SAF Industries Ltd. at Jashore.

Mr. Sheikh Nafis Uddin Fahim obtained O-Level and A-Level from Green Herald International School and Graduated with Business Management from University of South Australia, Adelaide, Australia
